cheap cms stripping code

ok, i know from having used it before that this cms is a bit of a twat. it'll take out the quotes eg:
width="10" becomes - width=10
class="myClass" becomes - class="myClass"

so, i won't be able to get it to validate, anyone had any expereince with things like this - anything i should try and avoid using / doing?

i think i'm going to go for a XHTML 1.0 Transitional doctype.

any thoughts would be good.

don't even start on that one. i'm not going there. we can stop this now, i've decided to chuck it all in tables. its an internal intranet thing and i'm not going to start changing they way they work now.

also, it'll only take an hour to build using tables.

sigh.
