HTML Tidy Firefox Plugin
Hey you all, just wanted to post a thread about my favorite Firefox plugin, HTML Tidy. This is a plugin that will display W3C standards warnings and errors right in the footer of your browser. It comes in handy when web standards and W3C code validity is important to you. Check it out. Google "Firefox HTML Tidy" to find it, sorry, but I am too new to post the direct link. |

My main reason for liking it, it is shows you your errors and warnings in your code, through view source. Also, it is not a toolbar, which I prefer. |

I use HTML validator, which is much the same thing, and contains HTML tidy checks within it. I love it - much more handy than the validator on the web developer toolbar, as you get a nice little icon in the bottom corner of your browser that tells you if the page is valid or not. Double click it and you get the source code with a list of all errors, and if you click on the error it takes you to the spot in the code with the error. |

The HTML tidy is nice as on view source it gives you a rundown of your errors without having to contact the validator. quick and easy.. again the web developer toolbar is realy nice and has many many many built in features... but also check out... Firefox Accessibility Extension for checking for WAI guidelines it too has millions of useful features. again I cant post a link as IM to new.... |

HTML Tidy is for all platforms, but you have to go to there site. The HTML Tidy on Firefox's plugin list is just for Windows. I can't post links yet, so I have to end this post, but I will post the link shortly. I am almost of 15. |

As I mentioned earlier, web developer toolbar is nice, but HTML validator is better for what it does. I actually rarely use the web developer toolbar anymore actually. Between firebug and html validator, almost everything is covered. |

Agreed. The only thing I use Web Developer for is when I need to enable/disable Javascript or CSS for testing reasons. |
