this maybe - http://sourceforge.net/projects/tidy/

Homesite had a feature called CodeSweeper I think which would do that. Maybe Dreamweaver does too?

Microsoft Word:
Paste it in rather than opening it
Select everything
Format > Change Case > Lower Case
Copy it back to Textpad/Notepad or something before saving to avoid any extra Word shite being thrown in.

Cool - I'd forgotten all about lil ol' editpad - great prog - used to use it many years ago then I changed to TextPad which as far as I remember is/was made by the same people.
