css transparency
Happy Friday everyone. Here's todays conundrum: Until now I've been using: Code:
http://www.csszengarden.com/?cssfile...098.css&page=0 and it appears to have transparent DIVs that work on a Mac. The css file only mentions transparency a couple of times like this: Code:

dunnow. just a thought. however, i was playing with this earlier in the week. setting the background colour of a table (tabular data presentation) and then having two transparent png's (with differing transparency) as the bkg image for the the tr's classed as rowA and rowB. however, i found that the colours which were finally displayed by ff and ie were very, very different. |

Although it still doesn't explain the use of the word "transparency" in the background image style. Maybe it's so that if gullible people have a look at the code they start to think there's a whole other way of making transparency work that they don't know about. The fools. |

Probably the best CSS transparancy I have seen on the web... way better than using gifs.... works on mac/peecee too... http://leon.vicnet.net.au/alfabeta/ only prob is it aint gonna validate |
