Me too.

Glad we got that sorted. Now we can move on to something important!

Just kidding. I perversely enjoy these little semantics games myself.

Don't think it's a heading. At least not in the form you've worded it.

<Hn>

<Hn>

why the content in the <p> tags? isn't that redundant?

Sorry, I'm not sure I follow. Why would it be redundant?

<hn>Title</hn>
<p>Company bah blah</p>
<ul>list</ul>

I was too lazy to put end tags...

To me the way he worded his sentence "sounds" like a phrase and not like a heading. I might be wrong though.

To me, the original way I presented it seemed more as a title <hn> that introduced a section containing a <ul>. If said title was a bit more lengthy, then it could be better represented by a <p>, since it would then be more of a paragraph than a title.

The way I intend to use it, though, is definitely more Title/UL based.

I can see the redundancy in the above example as well, but only when shown exactly like this:
Quote:

Our company specializes in:
If, however, the second bit was more lengthy and not as similar as the first bit, the redundancy disappears.

yeah, thats what i meant, herkalees. if the second part in the p tag was longer, it wouldn't be redundant, but for your original post, i thought just Our Specialities would be enough.

regarding the dash thing, kinda pointless considering there isn't a key for anything other than a hyphen or underscore on a standard keyboard, so wouldn't be much up for discussion for CMS builders.

yup, that's what i would use.

altough four times "Blah" should hardly be considered to be listural data.

Yeah, I see where you're coming from with regard to clients using a CMS and typing in content via a text box. For everyone else who writes markup and content by hand, it's a topic that interests me quite a bit.
