Do you hand code your Doc-Type?

Anyone hand-code the doc-type in Html, i'd be buggered if I can remember it off the top of my head, normally copy and paste from a previous Project.

I have my entire head information in an include file. I haven't written a docType but once.

Copy/paste. Anyone who can remember a DOCTYPE needs to get out more.

I have a folder that I've called "Initial Site", in it is a single html-ready file, a few style sheets, an oft-used IE6 PNG fix, etc.

In fact, here it is (attached)

Disclaimer: I work in an ASP/.NET firm... and I'm not proud of it. Change the file-extensions to .php and be on your way, smiling.
Attached Files
File Type: zip Initial-Site.zip (4.2 KB, 32 views)

I'm the same as herkalees, I've got a few initial files that I work from. Saves typing everything out again.

Believe me, I'm not very happy working there. We experience nothing but problems with .NET, yet are so damned past the point of swapping to anything else. Luckily (for me), I have nothing to do with the back-end code. I simply handle UE design, and all of the front-end code.

thread seems to be a bit off topic.

I do what they do. Have a sort of skeleton site including simple files with usual headers. and just copy and paste when I make a new site.
