If you don't explore now the work only becomes harder in the long term. At least thats how I see it.

Yea, I know what you mean, but you really have too try and find time. Use any spare time, especially when it can potentially ease your work look/development time in the future. A lot of people swear by Expression Engine, for example.

What about tags?

Salut eveyone!

I'm at the first step of my first "serious" web design (more like a complete redesign project) and I'm new to CMS. Any experienced CMS user cans help me get started?

Basically the project needs are the following:

- Easily transfer existing content (that is all good old html)
- Publish and edit articles easily without any knowledge of html
- Build a media library and archive (video, images and sounds)
- Manage a user profiles archive
- Host discussion and comments about articles
- Manage inscriptions and reactions to conferences and special events
- Publish on differents format (browsers, RSS, emails and portable devices)
- Any more cools ideas we might have regarding our users needs...
- And finally the use of tags for referencing (from both our users and our content publishers)

Can a CMS do all this?

Like I said I'm new to content management and any help is welcome.
