CSS and layers

Hi There,

I've been doen some research on CSS and it I've discovered it's the way to go with web design. However, would you consider using layers along side CSS, instead of using tables.
Tables can be at times difficult to control, but I have found layers to be easier to use.

I've experiemented with layers in Firefox, Internet Explorer and Netscape. Netscape has different results for displaying layers.

My question is would layers and CSS be better than just tables?

Thanks your reading my question

Have a great day

James,

Please don't start thinking in "layers" it's a concept from Dreamweaver for absolutely positioned boxes combined with z-index. This will quickly get confusing and is hardly ever useful.

Check the thread Dusteh linked.
