Creating Forms & Log In Accounts
Hi Everyone, This is my first post here - and it looks like a nice little community you have. I feel right at home. I am currently working on a web project for a mortgage company, for a friend. I am just doing a simple site, and need to add a few pages with forms and login info. I need to learn how to create a simple form page, where a question would be in the field, and the viewer could type in their information in the field and it could be sent to a specific email. It will be like an online credit application. I also need to learn how to create simple accounts, where usernames and passwords would be used and the user could login and have a little account. It doesn't need to be advanced. I only need it to recognize certain types of people. For instance, if Joe logged in as a "Manager" then a certain page would come up for "Managers"... Also, a simple contact and feedback pages would be needed. I have never dealt with any of this stuff, and have moderate experience with web design. I can create simple sites using Rapidweaver, CSS, DW, Flash, etc. etc. Is there a simple way to create these types of pages? With everything out there these days there has to be an easy walk through program!! If anyone can help out, please do. I don't need to get too involved, just need to get this done and hopefully learn something valuable. Thank you all. -Geoff |

Yes, those sorts of things are fairly simple, but you don't have the time to sit down and learn server side programming (like PHP and MySQL). Try CMS Made Simple - www.cmsmadesimple.org - (combined with the FrontEndUsers and CustomContent modules). It'll be much faster if you use a CMS - more are available at www.opensourcecms.com |
