OMG... How old are you? Nivarna just aint cool anymore, they were in 1991, but thats where they should have stayed!.

The best thing they ever released was the autopsy photos after he blew his head off!

Im 17 ... bullshit dude ..... nirvana was probally the greatest band since the beattles, he was the voice of the generation man ... many people including rollingstone magazine have said he was the closest thing and most powerfull poet since John Lennon. Also for your info nirvana has the biggest fan base online more then any band or artist. So just keep your stupid petty comments to yourself my question wasnt about if u liked the band or not ... so buzz off!

Yeah, buzz off Brooklyn. I still listen to them (very very rarely - but still..)

If there are so many nirvana fansites around, what are you going to do that's different - and worthwhile?

The un-plugged album was the best imo.
The only one that gets listened to still.

Don't worry NFP, I just found out that Brooklyn listens to Def Leppard, so his opinion doesn't count anymore.

One-armed bandit.

Not wanting to cause offence/flame war/delete where applicable, but as Stickman said...

What do you intend to offer thats different from the other Nirvana sites? The subject is pretty exhausted now. IMHO the best thing to come out of Nirvana was the Foo Fighters.

As for your fanboy-ism, I had an ex once who went psycho at the mere mention of Nirvana being crap, something quite common with Nirvy Fanboys like your self. I do actually own Nevermind, but havent listened to it since 1992 (Oddly enough, I was 17 then).

If you ever met her, you'd question whether it was male or female. I personally blame it on the drugs!

NFP. I'd say that the content issue is the key here at the moment. Your site is not so bad that anyone here has torn you apart (quite an achievement if you flick through some previous posts) but there is little content there.

As far as tools go, Photoshop is an essential - if you're still a student then try and buy it now as you'll get it for a fraction of the price. A vector drawing package like Freehand or Illustrator will be worth looking at too. Try Macromedia.com for a free trial of Freehand and see how you get on with it.

Apart from tools, you just need to keep your eyes and ears open. When something flicks your switch, try and disect it. Figure out why you like it. What makes you think its a 'sweet design' as you put it. People here were talking a few days ago about keeping scrapbooks of stuff that inspires you, or stuff that simply you like. Get some books from the library, read stuff, look at stuff, make your own stuff. Then do it again. Good luck.

Cool... but carrying a tabloid under your arm when you leave the house doesn't count!
