to or not to specify font sizes
Now this is really serious. Some say that specifying a font size of 10 to 12 points is a good idea, some others are of the opinion that font sizes should be specified in percentage as 80 to 90% whereas some other so called usability gurus tell not to specify font sizes. I wonder which option would be best. Any suggestions?? |

ems try 'em, they rock. Oh, until you cascade them in IE, then they REALLY rock. Tho - who on earth came up with the idea of using ems as a method of measurement for type sizes... I believe RNIB are exponents of XX-Small <> XX-Large or % tho I've never been too sure of how you 'judge' % without a baseline! Mind you, yet to get to that page in 'Designing with Web Standards'... Waffling? Sorry! |
