I bought a book on javascript myself. Worked well for me. You can probably find online tutorials, but they are hit and miss, especially as a lot of them are outdated and use old methods of javascripting instead of newer DOM techniques.

W3Schools.com is the best site to learn the javascript. i also learn java and javascript w3schools.com .

why not try it.

I started coding about 9 years ago, I learned everything from "Sams Teach Yourself (Whatever) In 24 Hours". Stay away fro the "Javascript for Dummies series" reads like a kids book.
