liquid layouts
I know it's hard to tell, not knowing the site in question or it's audience but what do you think of doing something like this? http://www.lifeofsmallbeer.co.uk/testpages/liquid.html Anyone got any good liquid layout examples? Anyone contempated going above 800*600 yet? That's fuckin' ingenious, if I understand it correctly. It's a Swiss fuckin' watch.

I'm liking that idea, smallbeer, but you're right about the fold thing. Would it be possible to fit all the "less - than - frontpage - importance" stuff in there... I mean you do have 3 other columns in which to put the important things. Also, how are the floats working in other browsers? It'd be tough to integrate that into a page with a footer, for instance, for all the floating. As I said, though, I like the idea. Now adding "eh?" to the end of my sentences.
