xhtml - frameset
I may well need to do a full framed site and wondered if there's anything i should know about using a frameset doctype....?? I might try to do an iframe, but if it has to be a 'proper' framed site, will it make any difference in approach ?? I usually use Transitional for flat pages, but don't really even know why that is......(better degredation ?) Any top tips ?? |

Just that the client likes the way that certain framed sites work, and has an existing 'test' site that he's already sketched out in his head.... It's a 4 frame site - top, left and bottom frames...with a content frame that stretches to fill the screen.... Does that make sense ?? I'm afraid Idon't have a link, but can possibly find a similar thing if i look around for a while... I should add that I showed him a few framed sites as possible approaches ages ago, and now i wish i hadn't ..... |

you think I haven't already suggested these things ??? Some people just want what they want, and if I don't give it to them, they'll find someone who will....ain't that the truth -- just ask my ex !! And besides, we're always learning stuff aren't we ??? I find the next project is always better than the last....but as there is a frameset xhtml type i just thought I'd see if anyone has had experience i could draw from ??? |

<frame> Differences Between HTML and XHTML In HTML the <frame> tag has no end tag. In XHTML the <frame> tag must be properly closed. <frameset> Differences Between HTML and XHTML NONE c/o: http://www.w3schools.com/xhtml/xhtml_reference.asp |
