Good open source ecommerce cms?
I was all set to use Magento for an online store, it looks awesome. But it's horrible to install and I don't see having it up anytime soon. I hate oscommerce and zencart. Hate cubecart too. Is there anything else out there that comes close to what Magento offers and is open source? I'd appreciate any suggestions! |

No you don't, have a look at using this: Magento - Home - Open Source eCommerce Evolved Been having a look the past few days into using it and it looks good enough. |

It is when your host doesn't support the pdo extension. Which many do not. Using the cgi workaround is said to be slow and not suitable for a live site. So Magento is basically useless to me at this point. I just need something user friendly for clients that want ecommerce stores. So they can add, edit and remove products themselves. Didn't think it would be so hard to find! Would love to use Expression Engine but that is not open source (the ecommerce module isn't anyway). |
