Need comments
Hi, I am trying to design a website for a tuition center of sorts. This is what I have come out with. Customer wants pastel colors and yet the site must be professional. DO feedback. animesy.hostforweb.com/tuition.gif |

First thing: Get content from your client. You can't create bespoke layouts on dummy text. Pastels, if used correctly can be professional enough. However, a script font and a comic text one, on a notebook spine don't. Start from scratch. |

The important fact is this. The copy you are now reading is set in the point size and typeface in which the finished copy will appear. You can be sure of one thing more, the final copy won't be anywhere near as repetitive or boring as this has been. personal --www.rogersartwork.com

No offense, mate Ok, what you have now doesn't work. The lines are too long for the size of the type. Consider breaking text at about half of the width of what you have now. make two columns form the boxes you have now. Ditch the cheesy book spine, and the background for the boxes. Use a nice pastel colour for the main background. You need to sort the logo. And generally put a lot more work into the layout and graphics used. Pay a visit to cssbeauty.com for inspiration. |

I have already sent the design to the client. -_-' Logo wise, I don't even have the company name. XD I will make up one when I have the name. >.< The spine is cheesy? I thought that it looks fun, since fun is also a criteria. One more thing, what do you meant by "make two columns form the boxes you have now" ? Appreciate if you could just draw the boxes layout so that I could see what you mean. Cheers. |

Emil! I have redesigned the whole thing from scratch! XD Seemed that the email got lost. So i have decided to give her a choice between two designs. Here is the new one: http://animesy.hostforweb.com/tuition3.gif Once again, any feedback, good or bad is welcome. |

Before adding a design element you need to think twice if that really needs to be there. I get the look you are aiming for, but there's a lot more work to do. Have a look here Edgepoint Church | Awesomely Different for a graphics heavy website. Right now your choice of colours/layout is (euphemistically) not appealing. More designs here: CSS Beauty | CSS Design, News, Jobs, Community, Web Standards Sorry, it seems to me that you're one or two years short of understanding designs basics. Keep at it it will eventually come to you. |
