Designing with relative font sizes
Chaps, Just starting a new project to completely redo the following site www.tomcat.uk.com Because many of their visitors will have disabilities they have asked that the whole site be very accessible in terms of resizable fonts and everyhting alt tag'd, etc. Now i'm going to be using the ALA 'Power to the people' method of font re-sizing. I know i need to be thinking about a design which will cater for all the sizes, but which size do u think i should begin the design process with? Small font like all the sites I build and just let the user stretch everything when they re-size. The site won't look as nice, but hey they'll at least have the choice. Jase

Just design with the default font in mind and do some testing at the various font sizes. You could also think about elastic design - http://www.alistapart.com/articles/elastic/ nicely demonstrated with this zengarden : http://www.csszengarden.com/?cssfile...063.css&page=0 |
