Design help (newbie)

Hi, I’m currently working on my own personal site to promote services that I can offer such as website and graphic designs.

I’m confident enough when it comes to “css” and “html”. I am now also self teaching myself php.

I have had a look at some of the member’s site already and I have to say they are all of a very high standard.

I was wondering if you guys could have a quick look at my site and maybe beta test it so to speak any comments and suggestions that might help would be greatly appreciate the matter how big or small.

oh I near forgot the site is @webdesigni.co.uk let me know your thoughts thanks in advance.

Hi,
That's a good looking website. Being fussy though...
I think that the front page looks a bit more like a blog that homepage - there is too much text and only one graphic (the need a website thing!) and also I don't really like the date part .. just adds to the feel of a blog. Another hinter, break the text up as there is too much on the homepage... I didn't read it all and I don't think that many people would... perhaps break the text up by adding in more pictures/ graphics. Perhaps this is because it isn't finished bu the services page does not have any info on it
- the site map does not work
- the coming soon graphic on the our work page is badly sized
- the our work pages address is: ....../mywork.php ??? which suggests it is a single persons business as a pose to the rest if the website which implys it is one that many people work for!
All the best with the website, F-Thom

I'm an obnoxious tool who uses the internet slang of 12 year olds.

Code is ok. The portfolio section or whatever kinda jiggled when I scrolled to the bottom of the page. You need to seriously rethink the interaction on that page.

Overall it's nice, but it looks a bit generic. Like a Wordpress template or something. No offense.

jiggled here too. maybe itll look better if you have that flash scroller on a white background at the bottom of the screenshots instead of lying transparently on top of it. it looks a little clumsy the way it is right now.

mycaptainkite... is your sole purpose on this forum to post completely pointless and irrelevant remarks?
