I am designing a website that will allow users to submit their creations such as poetry, photography, stories, etc etc. But I am having trouble finding what I need for this job.

The site will basically have three main things to it: an entity that will allow the user to submit their creation(s); a content manager that will organize all submitted entries via 5x10 squares with a preview of the image, name of the poem and will organize them into catagories that were given when submitted; and the last will be something that allows one user to comunicate with other users on the site, which will also have an option of edit/make a profile.

If there is anyone that can think of something that will help me accomplish this; a response is well appreciated. I have used a Content Management System before, but I was not able to find out if users can submit data so I abandoned that idea. Thanks in advance.

look again. A decent CMS will allow exactly what you require.

You might need to do some custom work. Most CMSes won't do that out of the box because allowing users to input data into the database opens up a can of security worms.

The main thing I want it to have the same properties of a user management system, but allow users to upload their creations and share them freely.
