Also I recommend Total Training Several years ago I learnt Flash to an intermediate level and After Effects in a couple of days using these videos. They have a great function where you can set talking to double speed, so although the narrator sounds like a chipmunk you can complete in double time. Beats Lynda.com any day. |

Yes, that's true, web is in the medium ring but web comparing to tv, print and radio is interactive medium and that one is very important information for beginners. ______________________________ Pencil Rebel 2 - Production Blog |

True. I was comparing it to TV, print, and radio more or less to define the term "medium". Find good advice in the beginners web design thread.

I have been using the term "Interactive Designer" when people ask what I do. It explains a littler more in depth than just designing for the web, since the goal is to make an environment that the viewer can interact with and to design it successfully. |

Tables arn't exactly for only noobs, u can do quite a bit with them; my site is done completely through tables, why? Because they are the most compatible, Firefox, IE6, and Safari all have different results for divs, while tables are all consistent, except for background images, but you just use styles instead rather than the attributes for bg images. Yeah, the divs can do cool stuff with style sheets, but it takes too much work to define all of them so that they are compatible with every browser... Thats my thoughts; i'm just lazy, and tables let me think creatively |
