Design fashions
What style of design is 'in' at the moment do you think ? There have been many - 45 degree angles, grey minimalist pixel fonts, 45 degree lines - im guilty. I think that the xhtml/css simple look is very 'in' at the mo, what do you think ? ..................

[quote:f429458ba6]xhtml/css[/quote:f429458ba6] is here to stay. designers will eventually expand what they can do with css to produce truly awesome, crossplatform accessible sites. I think one other trend is this style of backgounds and type //////////////////// also whats going to be big is the selected text look ie http://www.hi-res.net/ |

[quote:284d35fba6]this style of backgounds and type //////////////////// [/quote:284d35fba6] -thats what I meant by the 45 degree lines. I agree with the selected text look, also being used a lot more on mouse-overs for links now. i have started using it myself also. Speaking of the new hi-res site = what do people think of it ? Personally I think they have done great work but Im not impressed by this site at all. ..................

[quote:d783fbecbc="japanmik"] also whats going to be big is the selected text look ie http://www.hi-res.net/[/quote:d783fbecbc] We agree on something! This is another one of those low tech ideas that has been knocking around in good type design for decades (as was pixel fonts) - it looks very contemporary when applied to the web. |
