CSS Style Guide
I'm currently researching how to go about creating a style guide system for a XHTML/CSS web application. It's a rather large web-based app with about 5 or 6 seperate CSS files so there's a lot of CSS! Essentially, it's a project that was part-outsourced to us. We looked after the UI styling and development side of things and we are now handing over the XHTML and CSS to the dev team. I've been asked to create the style guide in flat XHTML & CSS to publish to the web, about one component per page (navigation bar, tables for example) with description, screen grab and CSS for each. An option of downloading the source code as a zip for example will be included also. The most challenging aspects are to build it in a way that it will be easily updated and added to and managing the scale of it. Any advice, tips or examples would be a great help. |
