1) the network is not online.. meaning that however we have almost ready the equipment we are going to use, i havent release it yet, as we want firstly to be everything perfect and then to launche it for public. As that we dont wish to give any further info to people just repling in a post and are not willing to help us.. If anyone is really interested will get all those info..

2) We dont plan to have any ddos attack.. But if someone wants to offer Hight Quality Services must have ddos protection for their users.. Our thought is to have from the begining the best so as not to change later.. So if from the start we have ddos protected servers, we are not in fear or in need of anyone.. If you are in the field of irc you can understand that, as is the place with most ddos attacks.. So as there are many "kiddies" out there that saying: give me oline (oper status) or i will attack your network, we wish to have the ability to ban this guy from the network without the fear that he can attack as.. or even if he do that he cant have any effect to us..

3) more than 1.000.000 people chatting nowadays via IRC (in public networks) + many others in private chat rooms.. IRC is not dying.. it expands.. all the more new networks with speciliazation in a field are been created.. Chat in general is used by million of people everyday.. msn, yahoo, icq and so many other messenger softwares.. Thats the feature.. Even companies uses chat rooms for support of their customers..

Finally, If you dont wish to help we dont really care!! I am saying that because i am bored to give explanation to people that just saying Hey dont help him because i dont like irc or i dont do any job for free.. WE simple dont care because hundreds or programmers out there, worked hard and gave us free opensource CMS and templates.. So if we dont find someone we will use something of the those free. We just ask someone to make as something unique.. If the community of web designers are not willing to help we will find another way to make our site..

On point 2, you still skirted around the issue of money and answered a different question to the one I asked. Who is paying for all these expensive DDoS-proof servers? What is your revenue stream? Someone has to be stumping up cash for this. If you generate a profit, who pockets it?

On point 3, quoting "chat in general" as being used by millions everyday, is irrelevant to your argument. We're not talking about MSN or Yahoo. We're talking about IRC. Instant messengers (and other forms of chat) aren't helping you. They're taking away your users.

Personally i have used irc for gaming but I don't understand half the shit you are coming out with and I have no desire to understand however it simply does not make sense that loads of developers are developing something for nothing? IO mean there must be something in it for them? Is this network going to be the biggest thing ever in IRC. For people to say some people work for free thats fine but somewhere someone makes something from it either experience that gets them somewhere or money via sponsorship etc.

Here would be a decent project for a beginner to gain experience but professionals would want to know its a decent charitable cause to give their skills for free and right now its just geek speak going on about shit I doubt very few designers have a clue about.

Clear up wtf the network will actually do why will it be the best? is this shit not common or what? If someone builds a site are they likely to become "wow thats the designer that made the site for blah.irc" or are they simply giving you a kick ass professional frontage to a project that in the end makes you a bucket load of money which in the long run means you have bent them over and made them bleed while being grateful for it.

PS firefox paid a well known designer for their identity etc so although the code was written (those coders gained a nice cv entry from working on it) for free the design and branding etc was not free so stfu with all this why is even so selfish nowadays bullshit.
