Flash getting blocked.
Im new to the whole website scene. Im currently using dreamweaver to create my website and basically teaching myself as i go along. I have created a start-up page that consists of flash, unfortunately when you access the page the flash bit gets blocked and you have to activate active-x. Would like some help as to how to stop this from getting blocked as it ruins the whole effect of the site. Any help is much appreciated Cheers Chris |

This has to do with the EOLAS lawsuit that went through a few years ago. Microsoft was forced to add that warning to IE. The good browsers - Firefox, Opera, Safari - are unaffected, of course. There are ways around it, by using SWFObject or UFO (Google them). You should really be using these methods anyway as Dreamweaver's Flash embedding is dated. In fact, any code that Dreamweaver generates is dated. |
