i'm getting a bit lost on one here. i've got links withing cells which have classes and the tables have id's and nothing seems to cascade the way i want it to. anyone got any tutes on controlling links within tables within tables in css. its giving me the proper arsehole at the moment and i could really do without having the arsehole on a wednesday afternoon.

thanks. brn.

As you're probably by now aware IDs outrank classes.

What browser are you having problems with?
Can you show us an online example of the problem page?

Alt:
To make sure your classified, nested links obey the right declaration, hook the id class selectors into the link declaration:

Code:
table#id td.class a:link { … }

That should make it clear to the browser by sidestepping inheritance.
