AOL Browser on OSX

Hello all,

We've had some feedback on a recent site saying that it doesn't work on AOL in OS X.

Now am I right in thinking that the AOL browser is Nutscrape in disguise?

The problem is that due to crapness, we've only got an old doorstop of a Mac PowerPC with OS 9 on it at work. What's the most recent version of Nutscrape that works on OS 9? Is it 4.7?

Anyways, I'm after a way of seeing what the problem is without stealing a G4 and installing AOHell on it.

Any ideas from you special people?

Chairs.

check what version of aol they're on about. from experience, aol users don't upgrade that often as they're usually techno f-wits. how do they mean it doesn't work? ask for screen shots etc. too vague...

We've checked as much as we can and it seems fine in most things (IE on Mac & PC, Netscape on Mac & PC, Safari, Mozilla etc.) except Netscape 4 .

Well actually the javascript drop-down menu wouldn't work over div layers in Netscape, but we've sorted out an alternative way of navigating as a work around (and if the page detects Netscape it turns off the drop-downs)

I've heard AOL have dropped Netscape as their browser for future versions, shortly before Netscape died - after all that trouble in the courts! And will be using IE!
