Just Starting out
'Hi I am just starting out doing some freelance work over the net. Please take a look at my site. pinewoodavenue.co.uk If anyone has any work they can pass on to me. That would be great. Let me no what you think of the site so far' I would like to start by saying thank you for all your feedback on my 'website'. Second I feel it is now time to inform you all that I was running an experiment on design and designers. This is in respect to a researched based publication. Hopefully out early next year. Again Thank you Last edited by simonruk1 : 21-05-2007 at 03:16. |

This reminds me of me and my first efforts at web design. 1) Content is king. you can't have a website without it. 2) You need to focus on creating a good simple design before getting over-keen on the javascript.. |

think you need to go back to the drawing board really. Sort a propper concept out, pinewood, brillant you could do so much with that, lovely illustrations of trees, forests landscapes! Instead we have pumpkins???? Where does that bear any relevance to you, the brand you've chose or what you do? Last edited by BenSky : 25-02-2007 at 08:23. |

Some space around your text so its not butting into everything might be nice too. "people with learning disability. Especially Dyslexia." disabilities Typos and dodgy grammar happen but they make a big impact when its on your site. Especially sat next to the word Dyslexia. |

Sir. If i was to visit your site interested for your services, I would leave after the first page. What is the point of it? Your site doesn't not need to make sure I'm 18, and it really is confusing, because it comes up and I dont know whats happening until i read the text to the right:"click the image to continue". Sorry, but if I was interested in your services I would leave at that instant. |

On rechecking your site, everything in bold below makes little sense, seriously if you're making a stand on being a dyslexic designer you have to make sure your text is sound otherwise you're shooting yourself in the foot, its one thing hiring a dyslexic designer confident that he will strive not to let it affect his work, its another to hire one knowing it will affect his work: "Pinewood Avenue Graphic Design Solutions are capable of handing creating design work of multiple work loads. Whether it's a basic websites or a multiple interactive creation. We cater for both print and web. Our tem can creative for your entire needs." Just need a comma here (very minor and forgivable "beautiful, creative and most importantly legible design solution." |

on your site it says: Quote:
are you having a laugh? have you thought about moving into other fields of work where your presence may be deemed constructive? wait wait. What am I saying. Carry on as normal. Your presence only helps those who actually offer: Quote:
and the "research" excuse is getting tired now. you made a very bad website that you thought was good. We had someone try that only a few weeks ago then use the very same excuse, when it was revealed they ripped off a board memebers blog. If you really do intend to publish anything from this forum, I hope you get permission. Doesn't seem very likely. get bent Last edited by hawken : 21-05-2007 at 03:57. |

hawken you can believe what you want. Did I say I was publishing any of your comments? No I would also like to point out that the research has run over 5 months which I think should be enough time. If I was as you put it "and the "research" excuse is getting tired now. you made a very bad website that you thought was good. We had someone try that only a few weeks ago then use the very same excuse, when it was revealed they ripped off a board memebers blog." Why would I have waited 5 months to say anything? |

Dude, you're having a laugh. No respectable research publication would publish a paper which involved duping people. It would go against their professional ethics and you'd be torn to shreds. Nice try as an excuse though. |

Since he makes such a big thing of it on his site, I sent a quick membership confirmation request to the Chartered Society of Designers, to make sure he is actually a member. If anything interesting comes back I'll let you know. |
