How many of you consider search engines (Google in particular) and try to do well on your favoured keywords?

On a personal site, no. Commercial site yes.
This forum for instance, i have done a bit of tweaking and now we get the largest portion of traffic from google than any other refferer ( last month we got 4454 uniques from google compared with 713 yahoo, then 72 from aol)
For the keywords 'web design forums' we used to be 3rd but have slipped on to the 2nd page now.
However try : "dolly parton and plastic surgery" and "pixel porn" and we're right up there

i make my site search engine friendly, but then i forget about it really. I get about 100 hits per month from google searches

Posts: 6,215	personal and business site both rock with google. i make an effort and keep an eye on it. also, some clients ask for specific search results and i can usually get them up there. this week, i'm working on hangman and i think that by the end of next week i should have the top result.
