yes it works alright but check the pgo link as it explains the pitfalls well especially this bit: "the vertical-align property must be applied to the inline-level element that is a child of another element". you also have to watch any top/bottom padding and line-height if you are trying to align next to text eg: align an image next to a line of text (which i often do with footer navbars or tarted up links to name two examples) |
