I have bought .net once, but soon realised it was a load of crap. Problem I find with web magazines is: - They cater for the newbie, and bang on about dreamweaver and flash. - Rarely do I read something that is news, usually I will already know about it. - Too expensive, bought 2 magazines a few months ago, .net and a photoshop one, came to about £12. £12 almost gets you a 1000+ page book with some fucking answers in it. |

Yes OK good points. I guess that's the problem with traditional print format media. It's already old news by the time it hits the stands and the hard core know where to get better stuff quicker and in more detail (forums/blogs/RSS feeds etc). When I was back in the UK last year I picked up a copy of .net and must admit I thought it was very good. They don't have anything like it out here in Australia. There's plenty of magazines for people into scrapbooking and steam train enthusiasts so there should be stuff championing the web design/developer community. |
