What do you do when you hit "designers block" so to speak? I can't seem to come up with any ideas for anything It's weird. I wanna make something, but lately I haven't been liking much of what I make.... |

Read, a lot. Design is as much about understanding why you are doing what you are doing, as it is actually doing it. + there are so many showcase sites out there that cater for just about every form of design it is bound to inspire you to go fourth and build yourself something rather splendid. |

Take a rest, make notes of what you want to create, and stop pushing yourself to do it, go relax, read, if you feel like looking for inspiration then do that, but you might just need to have a break. For me especially in work where you don't get the choice to simply stop and come back really, I make the most of my lunch, and even if its just wandering around the city, it doesn't need to be design that inspires you, without trying to sound like too much of a hippy, the environment and world around you can be every bit if not more inspiring than staring at a screen at others work. |

Designer's Block is a place of my residence if you think about it - Inspiration comes from nowhere to me. What I like to do is ask someone who knows something or absolutely nothing about web designing what they think your website should look like, perhaps ask them to draw up a layout for you and design off that. That's usually what I do. Hope it helped you. With Regards, Marc |
