Inability to update web pages after DRM8 Transmission

In Dreamweaver 8 I was able to configure my site perfectly and recieved all the correct messages, including :"now connected to your site...." and yet when I go to my website, the changes that Dreamweaver claimed were made and the fact that I uploaded correctly have not changed the site at all. In fact, it has not changed since I was using MX. I experimented with a trial version of Contribute but uninstalled it. I was also using Coldfusion, until I disabled it. But it still does not register after an edit, although, when I preview it in my iexplorer browser it shows the changes showing on my DM8 screen. Has anyone out there had this problem. My web design has drawn to a complete halt now. Help!

I don't know the solution to your problem, but if this is the case you need to learn how to do things manually (aka. properly). It really isn't hard.

Check you set the remote folder address to /public_html/, if you are getting all the correct messages could be all the files uploaded fine but into the root dir?

ok open up my computer. Go to view --> toolbars--> address bar.

in the address bar, type in "ftp://YOURSITE/". you should get a prompt asking u for username and password. use the same username and password u gave dreamweaver for FTP. connect, and then find the folder where you store your files and drag the new ones to that folder. Simple.
