I have been reviewing Job Board software/scripts for a new job site I am developing but am having a hard time deciding on one. I would prefer something open source but haven't had much luck yet. I looked at Joomla but am not so sure. Has anyone used or known anyone that has used any of the job board scripts available?

Have you looked on www.hotscripts.com usually there are some opensource freebies amongst them which might do the trick. If you are after something quite unique, you may have to make yourself a bespoke "script" or build upon an existing opensource solution.

I have been on hotscripts among other script websites and have found some possibilities. I like open source because of the community, the availability of help and resources, always growing...plus it's free

I am hesitant to spend a few hundred bucks on software that is presented well online, but when I actually start using it it turns out to be a bust. Tehn again, I have seen job board software from $0-20K which makes me think twice about going with an inexpensive version if people are charging thousands of dollars for an app.
