You used png files, even though they aren't really needed. I am on an i.e. (gotta love work's strict requirements) and the headings were with a light blue background... didn't fit in with the site. Other then that, it's good. |

All feels a bit BIG and overly simple, not bad, just not for me. Don't like your implementation of the lightbox, looks disjointed and out of place. I was expecting the large right-hand to be replaced. |

The code is clean, the design is nice and simple making the site easy to use. For the content text, the only suggestion I can think of are to format the <p> text using this. People tend to be going for a generous em font size, and a good line height with plenty of margin/padding per paragraph. Makes it really easy to read, you may have noticed on alot of blogs they have gone this way. The Red on Green for the logo could be a bad choice tho, it doesnt look too bad but whenever I have experimented with using those two colours together I tend to get fuzzy results - when it is clear from the rest of the site you like nice sharp typography, and clean design. Also, since IE6 does not support proper PNG transparency, id redo those headers as .gifs. Good choice on your current file format, but its not supported by the majority of users so you shouldnt rely on it. Perhaps you could keep it PNG but change the image background to white? Open up your website in IE6, and you will see what I mean. The code is very clean, but i'd use an image replacement technique for your headers so you can make use of <h1> <h2> elements, as they are good for SEO. Or at least write what the image says in the ALT tags. You should really only leave the alt tag blank for decorational elements, and then you should try to put them in the CSS to truely separate structure from style. |

cheers ppl, i did view it in ie6 but wasn't sure of a good fix for the headers. i wanted to use a white background for the headers but the problem is that at the top of the content section the background is slightly grey and tails off to a white so i don't think having a pure whte background would work but i will try changing it to gif and see how it looks. thanks for all the coments, will try tackle the probs you have noted asap |

I also think you should take out the lightbox effect and instead just make it so the large image switches when you click one of the smaller images. If you don't know javascript, (gulp) use flash. Actually, if you don't know javascript, forget about it. Don't use flash. |
