Can anybody tell what app made the attached JPG? The background is a picture of my neighborhood. How is the oval shape and the border made?

With magic. You'll need the blood of a virgin and a bag of chicken feet.

Actually, looking at that , probably just MS Paint. But you could use just about any graphics editor to create it. Look for plug-ins for photoshop released in 1992

Are there any apps that can perform the cropping, bordering, and texting automatically? Or, do I have to use the eraser and do everything manually?

Completely OT, but: DT seems to get quite alot of people registering, asking a question and then F'ing off again.

I don't think it'll be a great loss with regards to BugMan, something tells me he's not a designer by trade

You need the LazeeBugr® plugin for Photoshop - it does absolutely everything including picking your nose...

P.S. what program did you use to automatically post to this forum (was it LazeeBstd® v2.0)?

P.P.S. Does it pick noses too?

BugMan, we don't take ourselves seriously here - best get used to it if you plan on sticking around. Google for photoshop tutorials. Most of those sites have loads of explanations on how to create similar effects.
