In need of inspiration

I'm on the hunt for good treatments of basic web 'template' style sites.
By basic, I mean top banner graphic with horizontal and left hand menus all on white/light backgrounds, all with a basic block of text in the main content area - in other words, cheap and cheerless.

I've done a hundred of these so far and quite frankly I'm loosing the will to try and keep them looking fresh.

Any helpers out there?

this is why i do a lot of sites for bands and musicians.

you dont have *that* much freedom with sites that demand a professional aka mostly white and 'plain' design. though you do get paid much more
