hilarious i'm relatively new to this game and definitely not pro yet, but my process is: 1) mock up in photoshop 2) pb&j sandwich break 3) simple xhtml version through dreamweaver for viewing/showing client 4) run around the house with my cat until client gets back to me 5) make any appropriate changes to design 6) finalize by adding content from client 7) watch episodes of 24 in succession on dual monitor 8) receive full payment 9) shed another tear for those with 'real' and 'hardworking' jobs |

I'm So Awesome

I usually start with a box of crayons and a notebook. Just because that's how I did it early on it my high school days. I would draw something in class while I was supposed to be reading or listening to the teacher. Then I would go home and fire up Photoshop and recreate my drawing there. Still do it that way. And still use crayons too. Crayons rock pop tarts! |

Depends if you bother to use its built-in gay css style thing on the right hand side. If you just ignore all that and code the css in a second tab, viewing the site in the first its good enough. At least now that it supports expandable tags and so on. |

going off topic... i just find dreamweaver cumbersome for hand coding and it often renders a css layout incorrectly (in designers view) - surely it should use a browser engine for rendering? I prefer a lightweight program such as notepad++ or topstyle. However, the dreamweaver template thingy magig is a fine idea. |

Yeah you have to ignore the designer view layout when it comes to precision of placement- although to be fair every new release of Dreamweaver has made massive strides forward in CSS support. DW8 is a definate improvement on 7. I just hope the takeover by Adobe won't slow its development down. The template system is good, although in reality its nothing you can't achieve with includes. Horses for courses. |

I enjoy drawing, but I'm really not too keen on drawing out site designs. I've always just wen't straight into PS. I usually try to get an idea into my head, if I'm finding that difficult I'll look around the net for some inspiration. Then onto PS, and for actually building a site I'll use Topstyle Pro. |
