100% cell height

I have an example at http://www.alangreen.co.uk/cellheight.html of what I'm trying to do. I'm trying to get the height of the 2nd cell in the first column to span to 100% but with no luck. I don't mind using css if this will sort out the problem but at the moment i'm stuck.

Any help would be much appreciated

Delete the cell that says "this is the cell I would like to be 100% high" and just add your content "to the parent cell on the left.

-table- -tr-
-td- -table- 50px cell -/table- 100% height content here -/td-
-td- text here....texthere -/td-
-/tr- -/table-

This might be helpfull too,
