Kind of.. to have them pre-filled, such as a username/password login entry, you'd store the details in a cookie and read the contents back into the form fields if the cookie exists. However, firefox and IE store previously entered data, which will also save passwords related to the username, and if that is what you mean, then no. If it's the first, then yes. |

thnx for the quick reply Transmogrify. I do mean the second one. Would the auto-fill function, in Firefox and IE, work if I renamed the input fields to more general names? I'm trying to find a description about how they work online, but with no success. |

Yeah, I think if you were to use something like email for an email box then it'd list a users previously entered email addresses. Best thing, find a popular site that has the fields you're looking to use and view the source, seeing what they've called their form fields. |
