hi

hai everybody i am new to this forum can anyone help me in how to slice the psd file.Now i have sliced the psd file in photoshop and saved as save for web when i try to edit that in dreamweaver all the words are changed into gif and i cant edit that can any one help me

do this:

1) close all applications
2) turn off computer

3) find large mallet

The best Dreamweaver option for you in this case would be to hold down the Alt key and press F4.

you cannot edit the text in dreamweaver, you will have to edit all text in the photoshop .psd file and resave - for the gif to be created the photoshop file has all it's layers flattened to make sure the file is as small as possible so text cannot be edited on a gif file in any programme.

Ignore the wankers taking the piss, they were lucky enough to be born with this knowledge and didn't have to learn it

Text within an image is not text - it's pixels arranged in a certain pattern. It has no value to search engines or anything.

It's not a good idea to build a site out of images.
