forms in email

I've never seen one so I don't know if it's possible, would an email client such as outlook which handles basic html be able to handle a form submission to a database or would you have to include a link to a hosted page?

from my own testing: the form renders in the email client I can't get the form submit button to link to an outside url to submit the details, can they be submitted from a form using a link instead of a submit button?

emails are for distributing information, not collecting it. proper tools for the job and all that

link them to an online form like a sane person

Thats what I'll have to do if it's not possible, but more people will fill it in if it doesn't link out. It's going to be an html email anyway so I would ideally like to capture the information through it

Is it possible????

I got an email yesterday asking me to rate a company's support which had four check boxes and a submit button right within it, I haven't looked at the code, their support was poor though I can forward it on if ye like
