<base href="SITENAME" /> = RELATIVE LINKS THAT WORK SITEWIDE

<base href="SITENAME" /> = RELATIVE LINKS THAT WORK SITEWIDE

Wrote a simple howto to prevent having to rely on internal, sitewide absolute links. Only drawback is if you use subdomains and you want to preserve the subdomain path in the address bar. Really, really simple tip that saves alot of time in case need to preserve your relative links.

good call. I try to avoid new windows for my own content if I can. Adsense opens new windows which serves their purpose. If someone doesn't like them, they can close them, and my site will still be there.

Too bad that's an awful thing to do from a usability/accessibility perspective and isn't allowed in XHTML 1.0 Strict.

the target attribute is used purely for frames, which are being depricated anyway.
