Web 2.0 and CMS
I don't know if I'm writing in the correct category or not, but here I go: I just want to get a feel for Content Management Systems (CMS) that are Web 2.0 compliant and whose using what and who would suggest what? At the moment I'm using Joomla 1.0 (have not had a look at Joomla 1.5 yet), but I'm on the hunt for something that can be used to sub-brand a web site. By that I mean, have multiple templates for various projects or campaigns. A great example of this would be wiliam dot com dot au - please have a look and notice how the different sections of their web site can have different wall papers. =) |

What the friggin hell is "Web 2.0 Compliant"? Is everything I know only "Web 1.0 Compliant" because I started working on the web 10 years ago? Oh and for CMS wise, google "Modx CMS"... probably what you're after... its full of all the ajax mod-cons. |

I would look at Hot Banana or Clickability. I like Hot Banana the best, but, its pretty expensive. IMO I think these systems have to go away all together. We need a better build platform so we dont have to map a CMS afterward. Why cant it be integrated right into the build platform so you dont have to map? The problem is Peter, that even if you give them a great CMS if they make any larger changes to their site you have to get the system remapped.....and that takes time and money....and wastes your time. |
