I have already canceled my account a month ego. Facebook sucks as much us M$

So can anyone tell me whats the point of Facebook? To collect useless Apps, and exchange fake gifts with your "friends"? I just don't like the whole idea. It's just a Myspace with a web2 look and feel

don't they know that individual social networks mean absolutely nothing? i mean things basically went from friendster, to myspace (which has steadily been losing traffic) and now facebook is enjoying its popularity for now. but people migrate and move on.

the moment someone creates a profile/authoring system akin to openid is when all of these individual, propietary social networking services become dust.
