ideas usually come from the brain, i believe ...

your ideas should come from your own brain.

Ah but your inspiration can come from somewhere else.

And there's some good advice here Web 2.0 how-to design style guide

"If I had to sum up "Web 2.0" design in one word, it would have to be "simplicity", so that's where we'll start.

I'm a great believer in simplicity. I think it's the way forward for web design.

Today's simple, bold, elegant page designs deliver more with less."

Don't knock it, Weldo - everyone has to start somewhere. If that's what they want to play around with, let them learn that way. Even you weren't much cop before you learned. I know I wasn't. I don't admire all the aspects of Web 2.0 either but it has at least brought <blink>legibility</blink> back into fashion.

Make sure, whatever you do, your logo has a "beta" icon in it.

i wasn't knocking it, boss, honest ...

well, i was kinda knocking that site - for it's 'follow these steps to have a web 2.0 site' ...

but if people value its guidance - and they get something from it, then thats all jolly good ...

just seems a bit like the latest 'buzzword' thing .... thats all

Did you somehow forget that Flickr's been on Gamma for a while?
