you dont quite get it
um, im not thinking that you guys are quite getting the concept or technology. pretty much the apollo runtime is a wrapper, if you will, that holds flex and flash based applications. mainly flex controls most of it, but with that they have html rendering. thus you can have a web page load up in the apollo application. an manipulate that on layers etc. so essentially is suppose everything, its fully cross platformable, is internet connected, and has auto updating capabilities. thus i can change something, you dont have to go to my site and see if there is an update or to get the update. it just says, o there is an update, wana get it, ok, im downloading, im done, and im running... and you haven't left the application. etc... an well a whole slew of other functionality. check out the finetune apollo application, and the web book application to see these various functionalities. |

That using the browser for an interface isn't always the best solution for web-applications? The potential for offline-working alone must have people offering things like online word processors/collaboration suites/etc creaming in their pants. |

just tried out flex + apollo today. It's is almost like dreamweaver for desktop apps. There's a "code view" and "design view", and you can basically drag and drop graphics/flash files/videos for ui elements. |
