Why not just use Lightbox?? Its simpler than Slimbox with Mootools.

Thats no way to learn. If i can't get it working soon i'll have to just use the lightbox but i would rather figuire this out so i know the problem if it crops up again

I don't know what the problem is, but you should have a look at jQuery - it's small, very neat and can do just about anything you'd need. There's a lightbox-style plugin for it too, called thickbox. Used it without any issues (even did flash embedding on the overlay screen it creates).

Tried the thickbox but no joy again. seems like the prototype.lite script that i'm using is causing some sorta conflict.

anyone got any other suggestions?

Site works for me. FF XP. If you were using Thickbox you'd have to redo your other script to work with jQuery to stop the conflicts

Solved it. Ended up just using the litebox which uses the prototype lite script therefore not causing a conflict.
