Would this be considered Web 2.0?

Just joined here...

Found a massive site network - Freefor Networks. It has a load of sites that target cities around the US (and the UK apparently also).

I think it's a great concept, just not sure if it would fall under the Web 2.0 category...

has it got a green and blue logo, with reflections? If the answer is yes, then its web 2.0

The most important factor to judge a site 2.0 or not is whether or not it's community driven.

Its got a bit of a web 2.0 feel to it, but I wouldn't go as far to say it is full out web 2.0. I didn't look at the code.

I vote that the next person to blather on pointlessly about whether a site is 'web 2.0' or not based solely, on trend following design, gets bludgeoned to death with a wet dog.

i vote we create a firwall between 'the people that can't be arsed talking about web 2.0 (aka the web 1.0.3.7 people, as stated by weldo)' and the web 2.0 lovers!

then we can break it down in years to come and be free!!!

mind you, i like the mikes idea with the dog

aye, web2.0 is a progression of the web not a design style.

Argh, you know shit's turning for the worst when web trends are given a label. It's not the most creativity friendly concept this whole 'web 2.0' business...

this thread really is the epitome of Web 2.0. Let the community decide whether a site is Web2.0 or not.

What's the point for a site being web2.0? Do you get fancy animated blinking gif labels you can put on it?

What's the correct etiquette these days for dealing with a client who asks for "a Web 2.0 kind of style"?

Is it the wet dog thing?
