I own the domain web2.co.uk, I bought it during the dotcom boom thinking it would make me millions (as you did back then), I had it for a good few years thinking it was a cool name but didn't know what to do with it.

I eventually ended up using the domain for my freelance design work.

I was recently thinking I could make better use of it. I'm toying with the idea of setting up a web2.0 information portal thingamy bob but the problem is I know chuff all about web2.0. Anyone interested in contributing towards a site? I can do most of the design work, but need content and direction.

Again it's just a thought at the moment, I haven't got any ideas on how it would all work. If anyone's interested leave your details and ideas below and we'll see what we can do.

I don't really want to sell the domain unless I get a ridiculous offer like 10 million billon quid for it, but it'd be nice to know what its worth.

if you knew anything about it then it might be worthwhile, as you don't then you might as well try sell it, and fast.

how many type in visitors does the site get?

not that many to be honest but I was thinking if the content was right and it had a bit of the old SEO treatment it'd rank quite high on google, etc

I didn't really want to sell the domain but I guess you're right about it being a bit pointless if I don't know much about web 2.0.

Any takers then? we'll start the bidding at £1million, you sir with the bowler hat and and lovely white teeth (cam) do I see your hand up?

I couldn't agree more.

Anyone heard of the web2.0 validator? It 'checks' to see if your site is Web2.0 Valid. Half of the checks are rediculous and to be honest, I'm proud not to have an AJAX dependant site.
