A great name + huge usage stats + virals + "web 2.oh?" = hype. I still like YouTube. Not knocking it. I've found some great old TV stuff that I never got the chance to see. I highly recommend "The Root of All Evil" with Richard Dawkins. BBC documentary about religion vs. science. |

Considering that the purpose of music videos is to promote the song, the idea that record companies are considering suing youtube for hosting low-quality versions of the videos seems quite ridiculous. As for old clips of telly shows that are never going to be shown on telly again, who gives a damn? Luke Redpath .::. Software Engineer .::. Reevoo - Real Reviews From Real Customers

YouTube shows a lot of videos per day, 150 million, if they can sell short adverts in the videos I sure they will make a lot of money. I was looking in the top videos list and a lot of them were not from commercial tv stations, I guess it just depends what percentage have copyright issues. |
